Owls remain undefeated following win over Kempton

The Boksburg Rugby Club made it three wins from three games in the Valke Peregrine League with a narrow 31-24 win over Kempton Wolves at Prince George Park on Saturday, April 2.

Fresh from the Easter break, Marcell Fourie’s men scored four tries to secure the all-important bonus point which could go a long way come the business end of the season. The Owls were also awarded a penalty try.

Fly-half Jason Jonker converted three of his side’s tries, which were scored by JP Joubert, Dirkie Burger, Adriaan van der Nest and PJ Beukes.

The Prince George Park outfit has excelled under the new guidance of Fourie, who took over the reins at PG Park at the beginning of the season. His tenure thus far has seen the Owls win more games than their entire season last year.

They’ve since overcome challenges from Benoni, East Rand United and now the Wolves.
