Kempton thump Boksburg in cricket
Homeside skipper, Johan Fourie, won the pre-match toss and sent his troupes to field before restricting Boksburg to an 122 all-out - a 21-run improvement for the local side from their 101 total against Kwa-Thema the week before.
It only took 11.2 overs for Kempton to easily reach the target with opener Wynand Heter hitting 48, before Fourie made it 96 with a 48 of his own.
Wesley Marshall, who came in third in the batting order, added a further 16 with teammate Anthony Pollock steering the homeside to a comfortable victory.
This was Boksburg’s third successive defeat of the season.
The away-side’s batsmen again failed to put together a consistent run-rate behind the bat, with Ruan du Plessis’s 36 being the highest score for the side on the day.
Opener John Haywood was dismissed for a duck before Carel du Preez and Micheal Meyer followed suit with ducks of their own.
Boksburg captain Marius Labuschagne made 21, while Louis Grobler scored 16.
JP van Staden contributed 11 with the bottom order of Pierre van Blerk (4), Carel du Preez, Harry (6) and Micheal Meyer scoring ten between them.

The homeside managed 183 all-out in a match CBC won by six wickets.
