Boksburg High learner stars in hockey tournament
Boksburg High School student Keasha Werner recently played for the Gauteng Easterns hockey team in a national tournament in Kromdraai, Mpumalanga
This was her first selection for the Gauteng Easterns team.
Werner and her Gauteng Easterns team won four, drew one and lost one in their total six outings of the week-long competition.
“Quizzed on the experience, the Parkdene starlet said: “We did pretty good. It was very cold! It was very nice to play against different provinces and to challenge yourself.”
They faced all of Northern and Southern Gauteng, KwaZulu-Natal Coastal, Mpumalanga, Free State and Limpopo.
