Officers from the station were rewarded for outstanding service in several categories. The award for a police officer who rendered outstanding service in the support service department went to W/O Rika Wolmarans.
Sgt Stanton Munsamy from the Vispol Unit was also honoured.
Some departments, including the Crime Intelligence and VEC employees, were singled out for going beyond the call of duty.
Police officers who showed ‘exceptional’ bravery and recovered illegal firearms were also presented with certificates.
Brakpan Cluster Commander, Brig Wessie van der Westhuizen, Station Commander Biggs Govender and CPF chairperson Pieter van Rooyen and several senior SAPS officer also attended the ceremony. – @FanieBoksburg
