CBC thump Stars
CBC Old Boys thumped Sputla Stars 3-0, in their Easterns Premier League encounter, in Kempton Park, on Wednesday evening, June 18.
The defeat ensured Stars remain rooted at the bottom of the log, with five points after nine games, with CBC sitting two spots above them, with nine points.
The victory was timely and one that Glenn Brierley’s men welcomed, having come from the back of heavy losses in their two previous encounters, against LK Stars and Alberton, respectively.
Talismanic striker David de Oliveira netted a brace, with David McKay grabbing the third, to complete the convincing victory for the home team.
Formerly, CBC hosted Alberton on Thursday, June 12 where they slumped to a 3-0 loss.
