Midfielder Christo de Winnaar put the hosts in the lead deep into the first half to send them into half-time with a slender lead in the Eastern Local Football Association (ELFA) League match at the Boksburg City Stadium.

Having made all of their three substitutions, Boksburg had no option but to finish the match with ten men following a match-ending injury to a fourth player.

With the match hanging in the balance, Impala equalised end the match 1-1.

Elsewhere, CBC Old Boys suffered their second consecutive loss since the start of the league after going 4-2 down at home to log-leaders Bonaero.

Boksburg sit in third with four points with CBC in eighth following two rounds.
