
* Sonnyboy Kgwete (48) appeared in court on a charge of murder.
He pleaded guilty and was found guilty on September 12, and sentenced on October 4, to 10 years imprisonment.
On September 3, 2010, the accused killed Salo Mofamere by hitting him on the head with a stick.
He had previous convictions of murder from 1992, and theft from 1996 and from 2006.
Magistrate Ramufhufhi presided and Jabu Matha appeared on behalf of the State.
* Dannyboy Mokwana appeared in court on charges of murder and possession of a firearm.
He pleaded not guilty on October 14, and was found guilty and sentenced on October 16, to 13 years imprisonment for murder and eight years for possession of a firearm. The sentences are to run concurrently.
On August 11, 2007, the accused killed Dumisani Nlapho by stabbing him.
On May 8, 2013, he was found to be in possession of a semi-automatic 7.65mm firearm, without having a licence.
He had a previous conviction for theft from 2005.

* Isaac Bila (28), a Mozambican national, appeared in court on a charge of housebreaking and theft.
He pleaded not guilty on June 20, was found guilty on October 3, and sentenced on October 4 to eight years imprisonment.
On April 7 the accused broke into the home of Peter Sanford and stole three computers to the value of approximately R25 000.
He had previous of convictions of being in possession of housebreaking implements from 2003, three convictions for theft from 2011 and one for driving while intoxicated, from 2012.

* Manuel Chakue (28), a Mozambican national, appeared in court on a charge of theft.
He pleaded guilty, was found guilty and sentenced, on October 8, to three years imprisonment.
On May 16 the accused stole a quad bike from Ronnie Andrews.

* Tumelo Mabuza (24), from Soweto, appeared in court on a charge of housebreaking and theft.
He pleaded guilty, was found guilty and sentenced on October 4, to six years imprisonment, of which three years are suspended for five years.
On October 12, 2009, the accused broke in to the home of Charneen Hendricks and stole television games, two DVD players, clothing, shoes and an amplifier.
He had a precious conviction for malicious injury to property, from 2008.

* Maria Queen Moshidi (29), from Daveyton, appeared in court on two charges of theft.
She pleaded guilty, was found guilty and sentenced, on October 7, to 12 months imprisonment.
On May 13 the accused stole clothes from Mr Price to the value of R659.94.
On August 16 she stole Nestle Nan Milk from Pick n Pay to the value of R225.99.
She had previous convictions for theft from April 2010, March and May 2011 and from 2012.
