Seminar attracts those living with disabilities
Many Ekurhuleni residents and businessowners gathered at the Boksburg Town Hall for an economic opportunity seminar, hosted by the Ekurhuleni metro, aimed at focusing on empowering small to medium enterprises (SMMEs) owned by people living with disabilities.
According to the department head of economic enterprise development, the purpose of the seminar was to not only to empower local people living with disabilities who own SMME’s with access to information, market, opportunities and finance, but also to promote and increase networks among the businesses.
Through the seminar, the department explained to businessowners how they could adhere to business regulations and compliance, and also the importance for them to register as suppliers on the Ekurhuleni and provincial department database.
