CBCOB youngsters ready to tackle cricket season
When the weather gets warm and all celebrate the arrival of spring, there is only one thing in the minds of cricket fans - the start of the season.

CBC Old Boys’ Easterns Premier League side will be in a building phase this season.
With the retirement of senior players like Sean Lubbisch and Sean O’Connor they will want their youngsters to step up and take responsibility.
“Our Premier League side is still young; the average age of the side is around 20,” says the club’s chairman, Evan Coulentianos.
The team does, however, boast top young talent in the likes of Vincent Moore, Coulentianos’s son Wesley, and Dylan Bennie.
All three are provincial players.
Moore has played for the South African u-19 side, while Wesley represented South African Schools last year.
“I think we’ll be there and about; not necessarily with a win, but hopefully a top two or three place,” says the chairman.
“The following year we’ll be a lot stronger.”
Coulentianos also pointed out that the provincial players will not always be available.
Besides the Premier League side, CBCOB will also have a Promotion League squad and a school team playing in the Sunday leagues, and two Saturday league teams.
Practises will start on September 4, at 5.30pm.
New players are invited to join the club.
