Figures Models-Boksburg shine in model of the year competition

Figures Boksburg Models impressed the judges as they shared the stage with 18 other branches.

Branch manager of Figures Model Finesse International Boksburg, Sandra Theron–Swanepoel, could not be more elated and proud as her models make their mark in the 2019 annual National Figures Model of the Year competition held in Roodepoort recently.

The local models dominated the competition and brought back home top 10 scorers, two second runner-ups and two division overall winners.

Nine-year-old Leane van Tonder’s cuteness saw her through to the top 10 scores in girls 7-9 years Commercial Division while Khanyi Nguqu (12) claimed the crown in the 10-12 fashion division, securing her place on the MSC Orchestra in March 2020 where Figures Project AIM Convention will take place.

Nguqu will display her skills in front of the international agents in pursuit to advance her modelling career.

Among the pride of Figures Boksburg are sisters Tatum (10) and Makesha George (16). Both sisters placed top three in their divisions and received 50 per cent discount to the Orchestra.

Up-and-coming local model Jeante Koekemoer (12), is one of the top 10 scorers in girls from 10-12 Fashion Division. In men 13 years and older Skill Division 15-year-old Nick Dick was also among the top 10 scorers.

Figures Boksburg closed the doors on the competition when model and teacher Demi Fourie (21) claimed the crown from 18 other hopefuls in winning the teachers division.

Fourie received an all-paid trip and will be joining some of her student models at the MSC Orchestra in March 2020 when attending the Figures Project AIM Convention.
