Drift champs reach final stage at Rock Raceway
Patrons can make their way to the raceway as early as 10am when the gates will open to drift practice sessions until 4pm when competition will start.
A showdown awaits all drifting fans with plenty of tyre smoke expected at the final round of the Evolution Wheel and Tyre SA Drift Championships scheduled to be held at the Rock Raceway on November 2.
Petrol heads and adrenaline junkies are set to be in for a treat with all drivers gunning to give it their one last push for the ultimate prize of being crowned the 2019 Evolution Wheel and Tyre SA Drift champion.
With only a handful of points separating the top three, in order, of Larry Smith, JP van der Spuy and Hannes Frans, the title remains there for the taking as the tournament heads to go right down to the wire.
The drift judges will determine who will be the podium winners in the all-out drift battle with the top 16 drivers guaranteed a spot in the Gold Cup elimination division.
All will not be lost for the competitors who do not make the top 16 as there will also be a Silver Cup elimination division to give drivers a second bite at the cherry.
