Cansa Relay for Life postponed to March 30

Team entries have closed but the public is invited to support this amazing event.

The Cansa Relay for Life will now be taking place on March 30.

This is according to Yolandi Jacobs, community mobiliser fund-raising developer.

“After heavy rainfall and thunderstorms on March 8, we as the East Rand committee members of Cansa Relay for Life decided to cancel the event in safety of our survivors and participants,” said Jacobs.

“Although it did stop raining the field and track was under water as well as some parts of the parking area were flooded.

“The metro and Boksburg Stadium staff have been very forthcoming to us and has offered us to use the venue again.”

She said the relay will take place from 6pm to 6am.

“We thank our teams, survivors and sponsors for the amazing support and we hope to see them all there.”

Tickets will be available at the gate. Adults are R100 and children u-12 are R50 while children u-6 enter for free.

For more information contact Jacobs on 083 937 7187 or relay event chairperson Sonia Pretorius on 082 904 1390.
