In the next few coming months, the roads that you travel on to school or work could soon be renamed.
This follows council sitting on February 21 where Ekurhuleni council adopted the renaming of geographical features in the metro.
Here are some of the proposed names that could impact Boksburg residents:
• Exit route: Kraft Road (N12) – Ntemi Ncwane.
• Highway exit routes: Rondebult – Paul Plaatjies.
• Highway exit route: Barry Marais – George Makhubela.
• Exit route: Jet Park Road- Sthembiso Clarence Lukhele.
• Exit route: Atlas Road (N12) – Godfrey Pitjie.
• Exit route: Atlas Road – Peter Segone.
• Exit route: Atlas Road (R21) –Solomon Jefferson Mahlangu.
• Griffiths Road (R24) – Option 1: Joseph Tate Kagarose and Option 2: Peter Ramarou.
• Exit route: Gilloolys Interchange – George Bizos.
Public meetings are currently being held.
