Eastern Gauteng impresses at jukskei provincials
All four districts qualified for the South African Championships, scheduled to take place in Kroonstad at the end of this month.
The Eastern Gauteng jukskei team took silver during the Gauteng District Championships in Boksburg on March 2.
With four districts competing at the tournament, namely Gauteng North, Eastern Gauteng, West Rand and Gauteng Central, the local district finished with -229.5 points behind Gauteng North, which finished with -305 points.
West Rand -183.5 and Gauteng Central -66 settled for third and fourth respectively.
A total of seven teams competed at the provincials, which include senior men A1 and A2 (u-50 years old), veteran men A1 and A2 (50+), ladies A1 and A2 and an u-30 side.
