Rademeyer finishes fourth, Chlup seventh at NABBA-WFF World Championships

Freeway Park bikini model Charmaine Rademeyer finished fourth at the NABBA-WFF World Championships in Dublin, Ireland.

Rademeyer, who just missed a podium position in her Bikini Model Masters (30+) category, said she was thrilled at the outcome and performance.

Asked for her perspective on her result, she gleamed: “Thrilled!”

“I got to compete overseas which I had never anticipated. To be able to compete with youngsters and finish well is a great achievement,” she explained, before paying tribute to Alet and Manie Lemmer, top members of the NABBA hierarchy.

“The championships made me value my support structure,” she continued.

“You take it for granted, you know – all the people you have and that you see every day but everyone has really been supportive which has taught me to value them more.

“To me, the sport is all about giving back, especially to women. I believe that women should always encourage each other. It’s never too late to start something. You have to do you first and I think that’s what I took out most from the championships.”

Rademeyer, 47, began the sport three years ago. The Irish global showpiece was her 21st competition to date, of which she’s placed 17 times.

Chlup pleased with 7th finish

Rachel Chlup finished seventh in a 12-women line-up in her Junior Bikini Model class.

“I was pleased with how I looked and I wouldn’t change a thing,” she enthused.

“There isn’t anything I could’ve done better. On the day I did all that was needed and more to remain calm and wait patiently for my turn. The excitement leading up to it was unreal and nerve-wrecking. I learnt that if you want something in life you have to work hard in order to achieve it.

“Success and dreams don’t come to those who don’t work for it. I will continue to keep chasing my dreams and goals in life, as I start preparing for next year’s shows,” she vowed, before thanking her supporters.

“I would also like to send a huge thank you to all my sponsors who donated and sponsored me to be able to go and fulfil my dream. I honestly couldn’t have done it without all your support and encouragement.

“Thank you to my amazing family for motivating me throughout the journey and for just being such an amazing support, and for making this possible for me. Thank you to my mom Sonia Chlup and my boyfriend/coach Jason Henry for the endless support and patience throughout that whole weekend and for being the best backstage buddies ever.

“You guys made the experience more exciting and memorable.

“WFF World Championships 2016 Dublin, Ireland was definitely an experience of a lifetime!”
