Carpenter, Buttrick impress at SA K2 Champs trials
The 22km Klipriver Race, which covered a number of tricky rapids, took stage from Daleside to Meyerton on Saturday, August 16.
The race formed part of the Gauteng trials for the upcoming SA K2 River Championships, which will be hosted at the Western Cape’s Breede River next month.
Boksburg businessman Rod Carpenter and partner Vince Buttrick from Kempton Park, finished second in a time of 01:44:00 as the 20th double.
The overall winner of the race was Shaun Maphanga of Roodepoort in 01:29:00. – @SabeloBoksburg
