According to ER24 spokesperson Russel Meiring, paramedics, along with other emergency services staff, arrived on the scene to find the vehicle on the side of the road.
“Paramedics found that the man had suffered fatal injuries and that his body had been severed in half by the impact,” says Meiring.
“The man had also been dragged under the vehicle for some distance. He was declared dead by emergency services on scene.”
The driver of the vehicle escaped with no injuries and the cause of the incident is not yet known.
Boksburg North police could not be reached for further comment.
