MRR brings warmth for the big freeze
Malherbe Rigg & Ranwell, in Boksburg, together with the Benoni van Ryn Rotary Club, collected blankets and made food to hand out to the homeless community, on Monday, May 19.
“No one can deny that the weather has taken a drastic turn and, while we all put on our woollen socks and climb into a warm bed every night, we should remember all the people who sleep on the street,” says MRR director Jeff Matthee.
“One fascinating thing about the company’s visit was the homeless people’s sense of community. They all take care of each other, even in the most dire of circumstances.”
