Super seniors win silver at IPT Tennis Tournament
Proving that tennis is a sport for life, Gauteng East Seniors (GES) tennis members recently competed and won silver at the 25th Anniversary Inter Provincial Tennis Tournament held in Pretoria.
In true Silver Jubillee spirit, the GES players in the super seniors 70 A-Cup age group were Edenvale’s Luiza Tsakos, Benoni’s Kathy Nevay, Henk Fehling and captain, George Rough (both from Boksburg).
The team improved from last year’s third place, coming second to Boland after a week of closely fought matches.
The tournament saw players from all provinces battle it out in age groups ranging from 60 to over 75 years of age.
