Boksburg edge past Kwa-Thema
JP van Staden took 5/27, including one maiden in 8.4 overs, to help Boksburg beat Kwa-Thema by a solitary wicket at a damp Willomore B ground on Sunday, February 23.

The away-side limited Kwa-Thema to 107 all-out, in 27 overs before replying with 111/9, in 29.4 overs in the Premier League encounter, which was revised to 43 overs due to rain.
Kwa-Thema openers Maxwell Mtshweni (25) and Gavin Mnguni (21) combined for 46 after being sent to bat by Boksburg skipper, Len Meyer.
A batting order collapse, saw Ernest Mbalane (14) being the third and last batter to reach double digits for Kwa-Thema, which meant Boksburg only required 108 for the win in the low-scoring affair.
Welsh Mavumengwane threatened to spoil Boksburg’s chase on the wet pitch with numbers of 4/14 in eight overs, but the visitors remained composed to grind out a win.
Other stand-out bowlers from both sides were Boksburg’s Herman Meyer Junior, and Kwa-Thema’s Njabulo Zondi, who both took three wickets respectively.
