Boksburg Judo Club wins in Turfontein
The Boksburg Judo Club won five gold medals at the South African Judo Schools Championships held in Turfontein, over the weekend of September 28 and 29.
The club only had three athletes miss out on medals on what was otherwise a successful championships outing. Juandre Barnard, Franco Minnie and Marco Prinsloo, however, managed to finish fourth respectively.
The gold medal winners include Juan Lopez, Ruan and Jean Slabbert, Edzardt Jansen van Vuuren and Dian Prinsloo. Emma and Reece Broderick won silver and bronze respectively to take the total medal tally for the club to seven.
