Come join the dancing carnival at Carnival City
The Big Top Arena at Carnival City will be hosting the 2013 Dancer of the Year Competition on Friday and Saturday, September 20 and 21.
The competition has been running for 28 years and attracts the top dancers throughout South Africa with contestants competing in a variety of styles of dance, from hip-hop, showdance, ballroom, to Latin American, freestyle and slowdance.
On Friday, performers will focus on the Latin American and ballroom categories, with freestyle, hip-hop, showdance and slowdance taking place on Saturday.
The Dancer of the Year Competition is the highlight of every dancer’s calendar, and Gerhard van Rooyen and Amor Kruger, the current Blackpool Open British World Exhibition champions, will be performing on both nights.
The spectacle will be filmed for television and promises two nights of great dance entertainment.
The Friday event will start at 6pm until late with the Saturday show starting at 9pm until late.
