The ultimate athletes fitness challenge
The Ultimate Athlete fitness challenge will be held at the Sunward Park sports ground on October 5 and 6.

The event will help to raise funds for the New Beginnings Family Care Centre.
The challenge involves six events for men and for women.
These challenges, to be held over the two days, are as follows: 2.4km run; 5 x 2 minute fitness exercises; obstacle course (23 obstacles); strength and stamina exercises; strength and endurance exercises and ultimate strength exercise (straight-arm crucifix hammer hold).
Events will commence strictly at 7am on the two days.
There will also be events for the children to partake in which will be split into age groups seven to nine years, 10 to 13 years, and 14 to 16 years.
Other activities planned are a potjie competition with the winner getting a great prize, jumping castles for children, live entertainment, food and drink stalls, sports cars and motorbikes, along with a few other fundraising fun events for all to try.
Entry fee is R600 per athlete. Prize money for men and women is R10 000 for first place, R7 000 for second place, R5 000 for third, R2 500 for fourth and R1 500 for fifth.
Entry is open for all who feel that they are up to the challenge.
All competitors will also receive a unique one-of-a-kind medal and a T-shirt.

Athletes can enter on the day, however, the number of entries is limited to 80 men and 80 women due to the time that it will take to complete all events.
