Lace up for the Sportsmans Warehouse race
The Sportsman Warehouse 15km road race and 5km fun run/walk, presented by the Boksburg Athletic Club, is around the corner.
The event will take place at the East Rand Value Mall at the corner of Rietfontein and Madeley roads, in Boksburg, on Tuesday, September 24.
The event will see all finishers on race day receive a voucher coutesy of sponsor Birchwood Spur, and a lucky draw will also take place with a lot of prizes to be won. Gold medals are at stake for the 15km race and the first 400 to cross the line will go home a medal richer. Medals will also be awarded to the first 400 finishers in the 5km fun run.
Participants must be 15 years old or older, and must have a valid 2013 license number or CGA temporary number.
Entry fees range from R15 to R50. Temporary license fee will cost you R15, fun run entry fee and grandmasters fee R20 and entry fee for juniors and masters R50.
Entries will be taken from 4.30am on the race day, or at Sportsmans Warehouse at the East Rand Value Mall in Boksburg, from August 1, until noon on Sunday, September 15.
Entries can also be made at Boksburg Athletic Club from August 1 to September 20, or online at www.enteronline.co.za or www.entrytime.com from Thursday, August 1, until midnight on Sunday, September 15.
Free participation is reserved for great grandmasters and the blind.
Starting time for the 15km race is 6am with the 5km race starting five minutes later. Prizegiving will take place at 8am, and will precede the lucky draw which will follow at 8.15am.
