School and Rotary invests in the community

Boksburg’s Rotary Interact Club is involved in various projects to give back to the less fortunate.

Club members, along with Leticia Rajool, a teacher at Boksburg High School, headed a campaign where students from the school were encouraged to donate non-perishable items.

The items will be donated to the Cosmos Old Age Home as well as to the Presbyterian Church, which gives out food parcels to those in need.

They will also be handing over blankets and soft toys to the Tambo Memorial Hospital for mothers who give birth at the hospital and their newborns.

The club is also collecting different items every week, such as stationery and toiletries, which will then be divided into hampers to give to children in December as Christmas gifts.
