Have you always wanted to learn how to save a person’s life in a case of an emergency, if yes, look no further.
The City of Ekurhuleni’s Disaster and Emergency Services (DEMS) is offering free first aid training to members of the public.
According to Ekurhuleni Emergency Services spokesperson William Ntladi, the training that DEMS is offering is an uncertified awareness training in first aid and basic fire training.
“Our sub-section Public Information Education & Relations is the one responsible for training. The main objective is to build resiliency among different communities in case of life-threatening emergencies,” Ntladi said.
Interested parties can look forward to learning about cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and basic firefighting and evacuation training.
Free training on general home safety will also be offered. This includes safety talks about the usage of candles, paraffin, liquefied petroleum gas, as well as generator and electricity safety.
