The Rock to pull out all the stops to end season
December 18 will offer petrol heads another chance to have some fun with their rides during the Wicked Wednesday Night Drags. Gates open at 5pm, with racing set to start an hour later.
The Rock Raceway is to give 2019 a last hurrah in style with a triple-header in as many days starting from December 14 all the way to the 16th.
The triple-header, dubbed the Rockmania Showdown, will feature all the favourite disciplines, including drifting, drag racing and a stunt just to list a few, leaving petrol heads spoilt for choice.
Drift suicide rides will be on sale for all the adrenaline junkies at R100 a ride.
Eager patrons can arrive to the showdown from as early as 10am when gates open with practise sessions that will take place throughout the course of the afternoon before racing begins at 3pm.
On Sunday, Sunday night drags will take place. They usually happen on the last Sunday of every month and are expected to be one of the more entertaining events of the show. Gates open from 2pm, with racing scheduled to begin two hours later.
The showdown will culminate with the annual spinning vs drifting event. There will be a showdown of spinner teams taking on the Rock drifters. As to who will dazzle the crowd the most, well, the Rock is where the answer lies.
Gates open at 10am, with racing scheduled to begin at noon.
