Harcourts Blue donates R11 000 to New Beginnings Care Centre

The money will be used towards the maintenance of the centre's vehicle.

Harcourts Blue, an estate agent in Boksburg, handed over a R11 000 cheque to New Beginnings Care Centre on October 4.

Maria van Zyl from Harcourts Blue said they decided to donate to New Beginnings because they heard a lot about the centre about how it helps the needy people.

“As an organisation, this is our way of giving back to the community as well as lending a helping hand to the centre so they may continue with the phenomenal work they are doing,” van Zyl said.

She shared that her brother works at the centre as a driver.

Harcourts Blue business owner Simon Smith said: “Every time we do a sale, a portion of the commission goes towards the foundation and we use that money towards supporting various causes we find in our community.

“We may not be able to do what the real heroes do to run this centre, but we can help financially where we can.”

Smith highlighted that they have donated to other organisations before, but it was their first time donating to New Beginnings.

New Beginnings manager Past Paul Myers expressed gratitude to the members of Harcourts Blue for their support.
