The Boksburg North SAPS arrested 23 suspects for drunk driving and possession of drugs on October 5.
The suspects were arrested in various areas within the Boksburg North precinct.
Ten of the 23 suspects were arrested for Contravention of the National Road Traffic Act no 93 of 1996.
Boksburg North SAPS spokesperson, Const Justice Ramaube, said: “Section 65 subsection 1 paragraph (a), which prohibits driving a vehicle while under the influence of intoxication liquor or a drug having a narcotic effect or with excessive amount of alcohol in the blood or breath.”
Meanwhile, another 10 suspects were arrested for possession of dagga and drugs.
“The remaining suspects were arrested for theft general, drinking in public and reckless and negligent driving, respectively,” Ramaube said.
