The new prepaid meters Cinderella residents have been using the past couple of months, seem to be faulty.

The City of Ekurhuleni announced on its website on Friday evening that it would be upgrading its pre-payment system over the weekend.

It means customers will not be able to purchase pre-paid electricity units from 2pm on Saturday, June 22 to 2pm on Sunday, June 23.
