Easter egg fun at Bokkie Park craft market

While children were hunting eggs, moms and dads enjoyed a variety of food stalls at the market and live entertainment.

In celebration of Easter, the Bokkie Park Food and Craft Market held an Easter egg hunt for over 100 children on April 20.

Children collected their entry forms at 9am and could not wait for the hunt to begin at 10am.

Each form contained space for stickers and the children had to collect all the stickers from different stalls that had a picture of an Easter bunny on their gazebo.

Once all the stickers were collected, the children could enjoy complimentary Easter eggs and a cute stress ball.

“It was difficult to find the eggs at times, but it was definitely worth it. I can’t wait for the next Easter hunt,” said Erin van der Linde, who hunted for eggs with her sister, Emily.

According to organisers Janine Richardson and Joan Gold, this is an annual event to bring joy to the children.

“It took us two weeks to get everything ready. I’m extremely grateful that we could rely on the community’s support and it also bought a lot of new customers to the market,” said Janine.

“We handed out 30 more Easter eggs this year as lots of people seemed interested and we wanted to make the day special to each and every child.”

The next Bokkie Park Food and Craft Market and car boot sale is on May 4 from 9am to 2.30pm. Contact Janine on 072 713 3332 for craft stalls information and Elize Kluyts on 087 285 6461 for the car boot sale.
