Metro’s anti-fraud campaign to curb corruption

"To date 95 per cent of senior management have disclosed their financial interests during the period under review." - the mayor

Mayor Mzwandile Masina highlighted the City’s determination to weed out corruption during his State of the City Address on Wednesday, March 27.

He said the metro has established a Commission on Fraud and Corruption.

“This is in line with recognising that the restoration of trust and integrity in our institutions is dependent on fighting corruption and its corrosive effects,” said the mayor.

“Thus we have also strengthened our anti-corruption systems.”

He said an Anti-Fraud Campaign that scrutinizes senior officials has already been rolled out.
