Cricket player Bryce Parsons represents SA in India

The squad is expected to land at the OR Tambo International Airport on March 12.

Former CMH Boksburg Cricket Club all-rounder Bryce Parsons is in India as part of the South African u-19 squad which will be playing two tests and five ODIs against the home nation.

The King Edward VII School matriculant earned his selection at the 2018 Khaya Majola Coke Week after helping Gauteng defeat Western Province in the final at Newlands in Cape Town in December.

After winning five games out of six, Parsons was named the Player of the Tournament, earning him selection for the national squad.

The squad arrived at the second most populous country in the world on February 16 and kicked-off their tour with the first ODI on Sunday.

Parsons starred for CMH Boksburg between 2017 and early 2018 – a stint which saw him score his first Eastern Cricket Premier League hundred.

Commenting on his selection for the tour side, he said: “When I first heard my name get called out, I was really shocked at the decision; hearing my name get called out was one of the greatest feelings of my life to date.”

The specialist number four hitter has since moved to play for the University of Johannesburg.
