Britz shines at Atlas Bowling Club awards

Atlas Bowling Club star Josh Britz shone on December 10 as the club rewarded top achievers at its 2017 awards ceremony at the Atlas Bowling Club.

Britz won a total of four awards including the Victor Ludorum accolade to seal his afternoon’s success.

The Ashton College student also walked away with the Men Open Singles, Drawn Pairs and Trips accolades. In the Drawn Pairs category he partnered with club secretary Mandy Hinstridge and James Fullarpton and club president George Hinstridge in Trips.

The Victrix Ludorum award was scooped by Tilly Taylor who also dominated in the ladies category. Before being named the victor of the more prestigious Victrix Ludorum, Taylor was also named the winner of the Ladies Seniors award as well as the Ladies Open Singles.

The President’s Trophy was shared between Patrick Baker and Colin Jones, who recently died.

The Wooden Spoon went to Johan van Wyk.
