Metro says water pressure in Dyanglen, Morganridge to “return to normal” this week

The low pressure experienced in Morganridge and Dyanglen was not supplied from adjacent supply zones, which had to be corrected.

This is according to Ekurhuleni metro spokesperson Themba Gadebe after residents complained about the low water these areas have been suffering the last two months.

He explained that the metro is busy with a “zone discreteness” exercise which will restore the supply zone to its original supply state as per the network design.

“Investigations and tests of all main supply valves on the network were the reason for the prolonged low water pressure in the area,” said Gadebe.

“However, valve replacements work is currently underway at Sett Street and water supply is expected to return to normal once replacement work is completed on September 22.
