Carnival City to rock with fiery stunt, Harley-Davidson show
The Carnival City complex will turn up the heat in spectacular style on Saturday evening, December 10.
At 7pm, the venue’s main parking area will host a double stunt, involving a motorcycle, a car and lots of fire.
The stunts will be performed by dare-devils Enrico Schoeman, from Boksburg, and André de Kock, current holders of the Guinness World Record for riding a motorcycle through a fire tunnel.
Schoeman will be set alight, before riding a Harley-Davidson through two fire tunnels.
Immediately afterwards, de Kock will crash a burning car through a pyramid of burning car wrecks.
The two stunts will conclude an afternoon of motorcycle activities at Carnival City.
Starting from 2pm, the venue will offer a display of new Harley-Davidson motorcycles, from Harley-Davidson Gold Rand.
Different to normal motorcycle displays, visitors will be invited to take the various Harley-Davidsons for a spin – at no cost.
All visitors will have to do is turn up with their own crash helmets and motorcycle licences, prove they have not been drinking, and sign an indemnity.
The rides apart, there will be a motorcycle concourse d’ elegance in the car park, open to all motorcycles, from cruisers and superbikes to scramblers, with trophies up for grabs.
After the competition, one of Schoeman’s famous stunt bikes – a Yamaha 600TT in full running order and with registration documents – will be auctioned, with all proceeds to go to cancer research.
The event will feature singers like JJ Stevens, Ricky Faber, Jean-Pierre Murphy and others.
There will also be a beer tent, food stalls and an information kiosk set up by the Cancer Association of South Africa.
Admission to the event will be free of charge, apart from Carnival City’s normal gate fee of R10 per vehicle.
