Heritage Day

St Dominic’s was alive with activity on Friday, September 23, as the girls and staff members dressed up, displaying a very diverse and colourful heritage.

The pre-school fathers braaied boerewors and lost a tug-of-war to their preschool daughters.

St Dominic’s Primary School planted seven new bush willow trees, which will be enjoyed by future generations.

Cupcakes 4 Kids with Cancer

On Saturday, September 24, the St Dominic’s community hosted a cupcake station to raise awareness for Cupcakes 4 Kids with Cancer, at Carnival Mall.

This was a huge success.

Together, they raised a lot of money and touched so many hearts.

More than 3 800 cupcakes were sold on the day.

The school sends a sincere thanks to:

* All bakers, St Dominic’s parents, teachers and students;

* Denise, regional manager of Pick n Pay, Carnival Mall;

* Shiley McPherson, marketing manager of Carnival Mall;

* The Cupcake Angel Team (Yolani Roos, Mioni Janse van Vuuren and Corlia Muller);

* Mr and Mrs van Baalen and friend Michael Cotty;

* The Cupcakes of Hope team and all their friends who came to help;

* The Boksburg and Brakpan community members who supported this very worthy cause.
