Local karatekas show plenty of grit

Six athletes of the Goju Karate Academy Sunward Park competed in the KSA Open and Elite Championships in Durban.

The Elite tournament was held in order to secure ranking points for the top six athletes in each division.

The Open championship was open to all brown and black belts who wanted to enter, with ranking points up for grabs for the medalists as well.

Local karatekas did extremely well bringing home seven medals.
