Mrs Africa on a quest to find continental women powerhouses
The Mrs Africa organisation has announced their Top 40 Mrs Africa 2016 continental finalists from across the African continent.
Annette Dempsey (32), from Boksburg, is one of the 40 finalists.
She has been taking part in pageants since she was four years old and has won over 100 titles.
Dempsey is also the proud owner of Feature Models where her biggest passion is working with young girls and preparing them for pageants.
Dempsey, who is not married will be competing in the Ms-category.
The pageant opened its entries in early February and has had a huge response from married women across the African continent.

The participating countries in this year’s Mrs Africa Pageant consist of Botswana, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Mozambique, Namibia, Kenya, Swaziland, Mauritius and South Africa.
South Africa will be the host to this year’s Mrs Africa 2016 grand finale that will take place in late November.
The finalists will have the opportunity to compete for one of five Mrs Africa 2016 international titles, and as part of their prize package they will be flown to the international destinations to represent their African continent.
The Top 40 Mrs Africa 2016 finalists will be focusing on humanitarian work in their countries through the Mrs Africa foundation.
Mrs Africa’s directors Carolyn Baldwin Botha, René Roberts-Patel and Janet Potgieter, cumulatively added: “The build-up to Mrs Africa 2016 has been a very exciting, tireless and with many sleepless nights right from the initial entry.
“The finalists have just been announced and they have already started working on their various charity events, and using the Mrs Africa platform to promote their own personal brands, which we have encouraged them to do from the onset.
“We pride ourselves in the work we do, and are extremely proud of the Top 40 Mrs Africa continental finalists this year. Not only are they beautiful, they are mothers, wives and businesswomen who have all made a huge success in their lives.
“They are but the few of many powerful African women who are the backbone of our African continent.

“We will continue to empower these women via the Mrs Africa platform, and not only this year, but also many more years to follow.
“We are proud to be associated with these women who are constantly reminding us why the women on the African continent are powerhouses in their own right.
“We look for authentic women, women who have ambition and determination to make any project they take on a success. The Mrs Africa organisation is one that empowers women across the African continent.”
