Hospice launches Wall of Fame
East Randers have a chance to place their names and hand prints on the Hospice Wall of Fame.
The concept was launched on July 6, at Café Bellini, in Western Extension.
Gerda Baverstock, manager, fund-raising and public relations at Hospice, said people are required to register and to raise a minimum of R2 500 to make their mark.
She appealed to East Randers to register and become partners in this exciting project.
Winners will be announced on August 30, at the Italian Club, in Boksburg.
Baverstock said: “Each participant will help to build our Wall Of Fame with their hand print and names on a brick and stand a chance to receive a first prize of R5 000 for the most money raised, R3 000 as second prize and R2 000 as third prize.”
The Wall of Fame will be displayed at Hospice East Rand for a year, until the same event is repeated in 2014, with a wall of new names.
By July 6, the project had already raised R40 000.
