* Three suspects were arrested and detained by the Boksburg North SAPS for the possession of a stolen trailer with two off-road motorcycles.
A Boksburg North SAPS Sector vehicle attended to a complaint of possession of stolen property at a pawn shop in Trichardts Road on January 18, at 11am.
According to the Boksburg North SAPS communications officer, Lieut Juanita Coetzer, the investigation revealed the trailer was stolen in Kempton Park.
“The motor vehicle used to transport the motorbikes had a face disc and registration plates which were stolen off a motor vehicle from another complainant in Cullinan,” said Coetzer.
“The disc and registration plates were already reported stolen in Cullinan.”
The suspects reportedly used an Isuzu bakkie, which was also confiscated and is being investigated.
The suspects will be charged on all the above complaints.
All three suspects are also wanted in connection with other cases in other precincts.
* One suspect was arrested and found to be in possession of a big Volvo bus that was hijacked on the N12 highway, near the Jet Park off-ramp, on January 14.
“The bus driver was dropped off along the road during the hijacking,” said Coetzer.
The suspect was arrested the same day, in Hoopdal Station, in Thabazimbi, at around 8.50pm.
The suspect appeared in the Thabazimbi Court and was then transported to Boksburg North.
He will appear in the Boksburg Magistrates Court soon.
