Taxi collision leaves eight injured in Jet Park

Eight people have been left injured following a collision between a taxi and light motor vehicle at the intersection of Main and Jet Park roads in Jet Park, this morning (October 13).

ER24 paramedics, along with other services, arrived on scene and found both the taxi and light motor vehicle in the middle of the intersection.

ER24 Spokesperson Russel Meiring said that on assessment, paramedics found that eight people had sustained minor injuries in the collision.

“Fortunately, no-one sustained any serious injuries,” he said.

The patients were treated for their injuries and thereafter transported to nearby hospitals for urgent treatment.

The cause of the collision is not yet known but local authorities were on scene for further investigations.
