ERPM Recreation Club aids charities with R5 000 each
The financial burdens of two East Rand charity organisations, Strelitzia Old Age Home and Oliver’s House, have been eased slightly, since the ERPM Recreation Club donated a total of R5 000 to each of them.
Lucas Pagel initiated the fund-raising project but, unfortunately, was not available during the handover of the money, on October 10.
The funds were raised by the sale of boerewors rolls, which were donated by the ERPM Recreation Club committee members, at the club’s premises in Comet.
According to club member Ernie Strydom, this project is still in an embryo stage, but will be an ongoing fund-raiser.
