Hekkie survives upset at Uncivil War
WBA and IBO minimumweight champion Hekkie ‘The Hexecutioner’ Budler survived what would have been a major upset on the night as he edged-out Simphiwe Khonco in their main event bout at Emperors Palace on Saturday, September 19.
Budler was tested throughout the bout and Khonco stayed with him punch-for-punch before the champion’s superior fitness helped him to a unanimous 117-111, 115-113 and 116-112 win at the Uncivil War event.
