Peermont celebrates its community projects

Peermont proudly celebrated the wonderful work conducted within the local communities surrounding its various units, at a prestigious awards gala dinner held at Emperors Palace, on Tuesday evening, August 25. The inception of the awards, dubbed ‘the Oscars’ of the CSI world, celebrated and recognised the hard working people that make Peermont CSI community projects a success.

Over the past 15 years Peermont Hotels Casinos and Resorts has funded a wide spectrum of educational interventions through its various CSI initiatives creating a pipeline from ECD to university and beyond. As the most important age in a child’s education, is under seven years, the foundation phase, the hospitality group decided to start a Grade R project in 2013. Through this project 10 practitioners in four schools in Ekurhuleni have been uplifted helping them to contribute a more meaningful education to the young child. One of these practitioners, Julia Mahlanya of Nageng Primary School in Vosloorus was one of the award recipients at the inaugural Peermont CSI Awards held at Emperors Palace on Tuesday evening, August 25.
