Rademeyer flourishes on universe stage in historic Pro debut
NABBA-WFF Miss Universe Cat Buys Rademeyer continued to make inroads on the universal stage with her latest milestone in La Ciotat, France.
The Boksburg fitness model, who was making her professional debut since earning her Pro Card in South Korea, last year, was recently crowned the 2015 Universe Pro champion at the French commune.
Rademeyer staved off challenges from two other WFF professionals in the final of her WFF Sports Model Pro category, to triumph.
“I was absolutely ecstatic when I heard my name come across the stage, announcing: ‘Our first WFF Pro Sports Model Ms Universe, Cat Buys Rademeyer’,” she explained.
“I could hear my husband screaming; they even called him up on stage to share the moment with me, absolutely priceless!
“When I hit the stage, I was in my element, I just worked with what God had blessed me with and put our hard work on display, the rest was in the judges’ hands.
“So, I can proudly say, with much humility and all thanks to God, that I am the only professional fitness model-bodybuilding athlete who has achieved what I have in this country, including being WFF World champion in 2013, WFF universe champion and becoming a WFF Pro in 2014 and, now, 2015 WFF Universe Pro champion.”
Over 350 athletes from 15 countries featured at the event.
Rademeyer also made an exclusive mention of South African WFF president Alet Lemmer and her husband and chief judge Mannie Lemmer, for their support.
Her next assignment is the WFF World Championships, which will be held at Unisa, Pretoria, on November 7. – @SabeloBoksburg
