This is according to Russel Meiring, ER24 spokesperson.

“ER24 paramedics, along with other services, are attending to multiple scenes spread across the highway,” said Meiring.

“At least three separate collisions involving multiple light motor vehicles, mini-bus taxis and trucks have left at least two people dead and scores injured.

“Paramedics currently describe the overall scene as chaotic.

“It is believed heavy mist in the area contributed to the cause of the collisions.”
