Local karate academy wins 57 medals
The Sunward Park Goju Karate Academy took 50 of its students to participate in the Ekurhuleni Karate Association's Development Championships for 2015, in Parktown, Johannesburg, recently.
This tournament is aimed at athletes who have not yet achieved their Ekurhuleni colours and allows the the opportunity to get some tournament experience, without having to compete against ”elite” athletes.
The students did well by winning a whopping 57 medals. This included 10 gold, 19 silver and 28 bronze. -@SabeloBoksburg
