Bakerton sink Boksburg
Tight bowling from Bakeron saw the visitors defeat Boksburg Cricket Club at PG Park on Sunday, November 30.
Having lost the pre-match toss, the homeside were asked to bat before their under par showing behind the crease saw them buckle to 87-all out in 26 overs.
Boksburg’s collapse was partly down to the tight bowling from the away side, which denied the local team little opportunity to generate any momentum.
Hamza Saloaji took 2/18 in five overs and teammate Atish Monan bagged 3/21 in seven, including one maiden. But it was Fezal Ghanchi who hurt Boksburg the most with his damaging 5/22 in 10, including one maiden.
The visitors were always cruising in their chase with opening batsman Yaseen Dabhoya providing his side with a flying start with his 45 before his dismissal.
Bakerton were given a scare with all of Saloaji, Sailesh Patel and Bilal Chauhan receiving their marching orders for ducks.
The visitors were not going to be denied with victory in sight and would go on to post 89/7 after 16.5 overs. – @SabeloBoksburg
