Car stolen twice in two days

It is an unfortunate reality that criminals regularly steal cars from the Boksburg CBD.

Nonetheless, it is unusual when thugs steal the same car twice in two days, but that is just what happened recently.

According to the latest victim of car theft, criminals stole his vehicle which was parked in Commissioner Street on Monday evening, November 24.

However, the anti-hijack system fitted to his vehicle made it impossible for the thieves to flee, resulting in them abandoning the vehicle in Market Street, where it was found a few minutes later.

The thieves stripped the ignition switch, apparently in an attempt to start the vehicle.

The victim reported the crime to the Boksburg police and gave them the description of the suspects, including details of the vehicle they were driving in.

To his shock, the same vehicle was stolen again on Tuesday. This time, out of a secure parking area where the owner had left it following the Monday theft.

The Boksburg police confirmed the incidents adding that a case of car theft has been opened and investigations continue. – @FanieBoksburg
